Who are PTK?

PTK's aim is to help businesses and other stakeholders embrace chemicals legislation in such a way that they are able to balance successfully the tensions between ensuring business success is sustained alongside a strong corporate governance position that ensures a positive public perception and enables a good relationship with the environmental and consumer protection lobbies.

The founder of PTK is Andrew Fasey. Andrew Fasey has 18 years experience working for national government and for Directorates-General (DG) Enterprise (ENTR) and Environment (ENV) of the European Commission on European and international chemicals issues. He was one of the few responsible for drafting REACH and steering its path through the complex political and technical labyrinth that is the European institutions. He was one of the IOMC (Inter Organisation Programme for the Sound Management of Chemicals) drafting group that prepared the GHS. He was acting Head of Delegation for the UK at the Inter Governmental Forum for Chemical Safety III and has been responsible for negotiating many EU Directives and international programmes and agreements (e.g. OECD and UN).

His experience of working for national and European institutions, from the environment, worker and competitiveness viewpoints, makes him uniquely equipped to advise all those potentially affected by chemicals legislation and programmes. He can help you get your message across to those that matter (most effort in lobbying the Commission and the European institutions is wasted by being poorly targeted and/or the message being lost). He can advise you on the best business strategies for you to make the most of the opportunities all legislation and programmes bring.
